Instructions for GPX files
(GPS Exchange Format)
Download the file to your computer and open it with a suitable program to edit the data and upload it to your device (e.g. BaseCamp, MapSource, QuoVadis). The Garmin POI Loader allows you to retrieve custom POIs from data files (CSV, GPX and GPI) and install them on a compatible Garmin GPS device.
If you also want to assign the Bett+Bike logo as an icon to the Bett+Bike accommodations, you must download the logo here and save it in the same output folder and give it the same name as the data file. The POI Loader then transfers both files and stores them on your device in a single file.
If you upload the Bett+Bike POIs as waypoints, only between 500 and 2,000 of the currently more than 5,900 Bett+Bike accommodations are displayed, depending on the device. If you try to upload all of them at once, you will either get an error message or the POI storage soon reaches maximum capacity. Therefore, you need to open the GPX file in advance with your map editing software and filter out and upload only those accommodations you want on the device, since the number is limited.
Unfortunately, especially older devices don’t show all the information and may truncate the Bett+Bike accommodation’s name after 10 characters.
