Protecting user privacy when processing personal data and the security of all business data is an important concern, which we integrate into our business processes and take very seriously.
We process personal data collected during your visit to our website confidentially and in accordance with legal regulations. Therefore, we want you to know when we collect which data and how we use it.
As websites evolve and new technologies are implemented, changes to these privacy policies may be required. Therefore, we recommend that you review these privacy policies from time to time.
You can normally use our website without providing personal data. If our website collects any personal data (for example name, address, or e-mail addresses), this is voluntary, to the largest possible extent. This data will not be shared with third parties without your express consent. We would like to point out that sending data over the Internet (e.g. e-mail communication) is always prone to security gaps. It is not possible to completely protect data against all third-party access.
If you send us requests through a contact form or contact us by e-mail, we will save your information from the contact form, including your specified contact information or your e-mail contact in order to process your request or any follow-up questions. We will not share this information without your consent.
We require our employees and suppliers/partners to treat all information confidentially and respect data privacy laws.
The servers store log files about a user's access to our website. These so-called server log files store and collect information that your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes, in particular, the fixed or dynamic IP address of the accessing user, pages accessed, browser type / browser version, referrer addresses (URL), operating system used, host name of the accessing computer, access date, and access time. We can access this data. The data contained in the log files is used exclusively for statistical purposes. Unless required by law, the user is not identified. The data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data is not combined with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data later on, if we find any concrete signs of illegal use. For this purpose, we temporarily store user IP addresses for a maximum of 14 days. The legal basis is “legitimate interest” under Art. 6 of the GDPR, in order to recognize or prevent illegal use or attacks.
Some of the pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any harm to your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit our website. You can set your browser to inform you about cookies. You can also enable cookies only in individual cases, disable cookies in certain cases or in general, and activate automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
We will use any personal data you provide to us only to answer your questions, fulfill contracts closed with you, for technical administration, and to inform you about our additional offers.
We will only share your personal data with third parties, if this is necessary to fulfill a contract – such as sharing order information with delivery companies – or for billing purposes, and only with your prior consent. You have the right to revoke your consent at any time. However, your revocation is not retroactive. However, this does not preclude disclosure to government agencies (e.g. law enforcement), if German or European law requires such disclosure.
Your stored personal data will be deleted if you revoke your consent, if storing them is no longer necessary to fulfil the intended purpose, or if storing this data is not allowed for other legal reasons.
Processing of location data
When searching for bike-friendly Bett+Bike businesses using the Bett+Bike app (app for iPhone and Android), you can see search results near your current location. This requires your current location to be sent to an intermediary. This only happens if you use the search function and activate location services. The data is only used to find matching search results. It is neither stored by the intermediary nor reused in any other way.
Anonymous usage control
When using the iOS app, anonymized data about your use of the app (page views, length of use) is collected by special analytic tools (by Adjust, analyzer, verifier & WebTrekk) and transmitted to the intermediary. This anonymized data is used to identify the general user behavior and needs of app users and to improve the apps. The data cannot be assigned to a specific person. If you do not agree to this anonymous processing of data, you can deactivate this function in the app settings.
We use security measures to protect the data we manage against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access.
Protection of minors
Minors under the age of 18 should not transmit personal data without parental consent.

Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files stored on your computer to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookies about your use of the website (including your IP address) is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity, and providing other services to the website operator related to website activity and Internet usage. Google may transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Under no circumstances will Google associate or combine the IP address collected by Google Analytics with other Google data.
We undertake to comply with the mentioned points on data protection.
On request, we will inform you if we store data about you and which personal data we store. If, despite our best efforts to ensure that the information is accurate and up to date, this information should be wrong, we will correct it upon your request.
If you have any other questions regarding the processing of your personal data, you can contact us. We will not pass on your data to third parties without your consent or official permission.
